Here is my character who I've been working on this past week. His concept is a long story, and one for another time, but I didn't come up with this character in a week.
I used previous versions of the character as reference images, and created a new and improved model with my new skills I have learned since entering college in September.
Once the form and colour of the model had been established, I decided it was time to begin the rigging process.
This involved giving the model a (relatively simple) skeleton that would be easy to animate and pose. I used myself and various images from he internet as reference for emotion, and I tried to emulate these expressions with my character.
Koy's helmet is a work in progress, as are his textures, clothing and hair.
